Whats involved

As one of our Aquarists youll play a key role in ensuring consistently high standards of display presentation and animal husbandry. Youll support the running and maintenance of all off show areas including the quarantine areas and the maintenance of the individual displays life support systems. Plus youll have the chance to roll up your sleeves and dive into creative conservation projects that underpin the SEA LIFE Brighton mission.

Your daytoday will involve:

• Daily operations of our displays including the health and safety of animals
• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness care and innovation
• Collaborating on animal acquisitions transport and quarantines while meeting SEA LIFEs ethical standards
• Being a key player in animal husbandry and life support system maintenance
• Developing displays delivering fresh and exciting experiences for our guests
• Developing yourself to achieve your career goals

This is a fulltime permanent role with 40 hours per week on a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays. This role will also include the need to be on site after hours and working on a call out rota.

• Ideally youll have experience in the aquarium industry with expertise in aquatic animal husbandry and life support systems.
• Ideally youll hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• Ideally a PADI Rescue Diver qualification or above (desirable)
• Strong desire to develop you husbandry career
• A creative mindset for developing engaging educational exhibits.
