Job Description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator Food Import & Wholesale
Location: Rubery Birmingham (Officebased/ 1 day WFH)
Salary: cir 35000pa Annual Bonus
Job Type: Fulltime
Industry: Food & Drink Import & Distribution

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven Quality Assurance Coordinator to join a fastgrowing and dynamic food import and distribution company. This is a key role for someone who is passionate about food safety quality assurance and compliance looking to make a real impact within a growing organisation.

Youll be responsible for implementing managing and developing the companys food safety and quality assurance systems working across multiple product categories and supplier networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures and documentation in line with UK regulations
  • Stay uptodate on food industry standards legislation and best practices
  • Maintain supplier databases product specifications technical documentation and traceability systems
  • Ensure packaging and labelling compliance for all imported and distributed products
  • Handle qualityrelated customer complaints working with suppliers and internal teams for resolution
  • Support and potentially lead the implementation of BRCGS Agent & Broker certification
  • Liaise regularly with suppliers internal teams and customers regarding quality standards
  • Assist with procurement and supply chain quality improvements as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Food Science or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food quality assurance within the UK food industry
  • Strong working knowledge of BRCGS/IFS Standards HACCP UK/EU food regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Confident communicator with a positive handson attitude
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
