Job Description

SUMMARY:The JROTC Senior Army Instructor (SAI) is responsible for the JROTC operations and instruction.Coordinates with senior school officials and the JROTC Directorate to establish procedures relating to the administration control and education of students enrolled in the JROTC program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. JROTC certification.
  2. Experience working with youth and culturally diverse groups.
  3. Ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues.
  4. Must be able to collaborate effectively with district personnel the general public and work with diverse groups of people.
  5. Must meet physical standards outlined in Cadet Command Regulation 145 2. Must be honorably retired not more than three years (waivers may be granted for hard to fill vacancies) from the United States Army in the grade of E6 thru E9. Warrant Officers may serve as AIs in programs that are chaired by Commissioned Officers
  6. Must be prescreened and certified by US Army Cadet Command prior to applying for this position.
  7. Must be able to pass a national background check to include fingerprinting and have no history of violence towards children.
