Performance Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire Girls Soccer Program.
- Develop monitor supervise and train studentathletes to play competitive Soccer.
- Develop an execute an effective training program.
- Motivate and mentor studentathletes on and off the Field.
- Foster teamwork sportsmanship and skills development.
- Manage game strategies and game daylogistics.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of CPS studentathletes.
- Cooperate in a timely manner with School athletic director and the District Athletic Department in regard to requests for information that might be pertinent and/or required periodically.
- Meet all the requirements set forth by the District Board of Education the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) relative to the mandated coaching requirements (Coaches Tool Chest (CTC) and the ODE Pupil Activity Permit (PAP).
- Check the status of academically eligibility for all prospective studentathletes.
- Follow the District Athletic Department Policies as outlined in the CPS Coaches Handbook and meet all thecriteria as outlined in the job description.
- Model the behavior expected of our studentathletes including timeliness to practicesand games being positive and enthusiastic being respectful and practicing construction criticism while upholding the disciplines of the program.
- Maintain a suitable sideline conduct including the use of appropriate language at all times.
- Recognize the need to be aware of and implement all applicable administrative policies set forth by the District Board of Education Superintendents of Schools School Principals Conference Leagues ODE and OHSAA.
- Schedule and complete a full season of contests including State Tournament Games.
- Participate in clinics and other available programs to improve coaching performance.
- Participate in School events (i.e. Awards Night Pep Assemblies Athletic Boosters Meetings etc..
- Ensure that team is wellprepared for opponents.
- Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and supplies.
SKills/Qualifications:
- Fundraising experience.
- Must be passionate and dedicated to inspire studentathletes.
- Previous Soccer coaching experience required.
- Have the ability to motivate and inspire studentathletes.
- Serve as a positive role model.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills associated with the sport.
Training/Certifications:
- Ohio Secondary Teaching Certificate preferred.
- Evidence of successful past coaching experience at the high school and/or College level is preferred.
- Provide satisfactory result of a County Police Records check State BCII check and a FBI Fingerprint Background Check.
- Posses an Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Pupil Activity Permit (PAP).
- Provide proof of completion of Coaches Tool Chest (CTC) Training/Certification.
