Created in 1993 LAHSA is a joint powers authority of the city and county of Los Angeles. As the lead agency in the HUDfunded Los Angeles Continuum of Care we coordinate and manage over $800 million annually in federal state county and city funds for programs providing shelter housing and services to people experiencing homelessness.
Under the direction of the Manager of Interim Housing the Coordinator will serve as a facilitative leader over the Los Angeles regional homelessness response systems Interim Housing (IH) programs including but not limited to Winter Shelter Crisis Housing and Bridge Housing programs.
The Interim Housing Coordinator works as part of a team of regional and systemlevel coordinators responsible for supporting program development (program design and implementation) and program management (program guidance and technical assistance) for all Interim Housing programs. Coordinators oversee a portfolio of programs to ensure the effective and efficient utilization of emergency shelter services aided by performance management analysts.
Working within the assigned Interim Housing team and aided by Performance Management Analysts the Interim Housing Coordinator regularly engages with regional coordinators and provider agencies to actively manage the utilization of shelter beds and the timely delivery of services and referrals. Through this active management the coordinator will also identify and addresses program gaps and performance challenges seek design and practice solutions to align with system goals opportunities and resources and work collaboratively with management to overcome barriers to program and systemlevel success. The Interim Housing Coordinator will work closely with management and other units as assigned to draft and release datainformed guidance and technical assistance.
The Interim Housing Coordinator represents LAHSAs commitment to excellent programming for those experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles County.
