Job Description

Kindergarten 2nd GradePosition Overview: The Special Education Teacher will work with students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade who require additional support due to executive functioning challenges and behavioral needs. You will play a key role in designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) while working closely with general education teachers to ensure successful integration of students into the general education classroom. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a supportive team and engage in the coaching and modeling of skills and Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the specific needs of students with executive functioning and behavioral direct instruction and support to students in small group and individualized closely with general education teachers to create inclusive differentiated learning and coach general education teachers in implementing strategies and interventions for students with diverse needs in the evidencebased practices to promote student engagement selfregulation and academic student progress track data and adjust instructional methods based on individual needs and as a resource for staff in implementing behavior management strategies and supporting students socialemotional regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies for home in IEP meetings professional development sessions and schoolwide We Offer:A supportive and highly collaborative work for professional development coaching and mentorship from experienced staff.A strong school community that values diversity inclusion and the unique needs of each salary and benefits package.
