Job Description

Lab Techs are the front line of customer service for the Department of Cinematic Arts
Equipment Room assisting students and faculty members with equipment for classes and
productions. A Lab Tech is able to problem solve take initiative at finding and completing
tasks inspect equipment for damages perform routine maintenance and maintain an
organized workspace.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional facetoface or remote customer service to students faculty and
staff. - Maintain equipment inventory.
- Thoroughly inspect equipment before and after each rental.
- Conduct equipment rentals (check outs) and returns (check ins).
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of Equipment Room and common spaces.
- Educate customers on appropriate set up use and care of equipment and rooms.
- Learn new cinema technology and pass that knowledge along to peers and customers.
- Train current students faculty and staff on equipment and rooms.
- Perform other nonroutine tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Be on time to assigned shifts.
- Establish and maintain clear and open communication with staff and supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Attend Community College of Aurora Department of Cinematic Arts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Be comfortable with Apple/Mac computer technology for inventory &
communication. - Be able move and lift heavy equipment (up to 50lbs).
- Be able to work in a loud environment.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS- Must have completed FAFSA on file
- Must be enrolled in a minimum six 6 credit hours
- Must NOT have yet obtained 1st Bachelors Degree
- Must be seeking an eligible program of study
