Job Description
TPI is actively seeking Bindery Operators skilled in Cutting Folding or Stitching to work 2nd shift in Las Vegas NV.
Position Summary: The Bindery Operator is responsible for setting up operating and maintaining bindery equipment including Cutters Folders and Saddle Stitchers. Key duties involve troubleshooting mechanical issues performing scheduled and preventive maintenance and maintaining operational efficiency. The operator also inspects printed materials for quality throughout the production process adheres to safety regulations and operates pallet jacks to move products around the production floor as needed. Attention to detail adaptability and the ability to work flexible hoursincluding overtime and weekends to meet production deadlinesare essential for success in this role.
- History of performing well under pressure.
- Individual should be mechanically inclined and possess problemsolving skills.
- Be able to quickly learn and master the camera system.
- Good communication and comprehension skills both written and verbal.
- Team and goal oriented.
- Must be very detail oriented.
- 3years experience as a bindery machine operator required.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High School degree or equivalent.
- At least two years professional experience setting up running and maintaining bindery equipment.
Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. Continuous vision. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. frequently. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent hand/wrist/finger movement for gripping mailer bundles and carrying mail trays. Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. to move palletized load. Frequent reaching twisting and gripping up to 25 lbs. to move paper stock. Occasional crouching and use of hand tools during routine machine maintenance.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a fulltime position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday. 1st shift is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; 2nd shift is 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; 3rd shift is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Weekend hours may be required during peak production times. This position typically works 4050 hours per week.
The pay range for this position is $17$28 per hour. Compensation is dependent on experience and industry knowledge.
