PROGRAM: Child PSB Services

ROLE TYPE: FeeforService (Contract)

JOB OVERVIEW:

Joseph J. Peters Institute a nationally recognized provider serving survivors of trauma as well as individuals engaging in problem sexual behavior and relational violence seeks a feeforservice Child & Family Clinician.

The Child & Family Clinician will serve as a member of a specialized Child PSB team. This team provides assessment of children who are exhibiting sexual behavior problems/sexual reactivity and provides treatment that incorporates Body Safety a psychoeducational program that teaches children what typical and atypical sexual behaviors are and how they can keep themselves safe. In addition the team works with families to implement good boundaries and privacy practices and to provide closer supervision of children when interacting with media such as the internet.

Clinicians on the Child PSB team receive evidencebased practice training in CBTPSB for School Aged Children.

WORKSITE: Work will be primarily conducted at JJPIs Chestnut Street clinic in Center City Philadelphia.

SCHEDULE: Primarily afternoon and evening hours

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide the highest quality clinical services to participants at Joseph J. Peters Institute.
  • Develop and implement innovative techniques to serve the participants of JJPI more effectively.
  • Provide family and/or group therapy to participants.
  • Provide evidencebased treatment to participants.
  • Analyze and integrate data gathered during evaluations to provide diagnostic conclusions and treatment recommendations.
  • Provide comprehensive written reports to guide treatment and to respond to referral sources.
  • Attend clinical meetings and scheduled supervisions.
  • Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency managed care and licensing requirements.
  • Seek out appropriate professional training to meet licensing requirements.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new innovative treatment strategies.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with other agencies.
  • Understand the impact of the caseload requirements on the financial performance of the agency.
  • Work with other staff to develop new treatment programs to promote the financial performance of the agency.
  • Promote the agency in interactions with other agencies and professionals.
  • Complete progress notes within 24 hours of each individual session and within 72 hours of each group session.
  • Complete updated resiliency plans every 6 months.
  • Complete a discharge summary within 48 hours of the termination date.
  • Follow up appropriately with participants and CUA/DHS when a participant misses a session.
  • Complete and provide statistical reports (case management and clinical hours) at the end of each week/pay period.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree in a field related to clinical work from an accredited institution
  • Clinical experience working with children who have demonstrated sexually inappropriate behaviors sexual reactivity behaviors or general impulsive behaviors

PHMC PAY SCALE: Grade 18
