Job Description

Job Summary
This is an on your feet position that will have you moving throughout the Marriott Library and working in our high density storage facility the Automated Retrieval Center ARC . You would be responsible for fulfilling requests for the more than one million items housed in the ARC and ensuring that patrons receive the items they need in a timely manner. For the Library to be able to appropriately monitor hours worked parttime employees are generally asked to restrict their work with the University of Utah to Library employment only unless an exception is granted.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include item retrieval and loading of material in an Automated Retrieval Center working on inventory and audit projects in the ARC and throughout the book stacks and assisting with a variety of facilities projects. Must have a willingness to learn new technologies including the ARC operating system and the library catalog. Must be able to communicate with a diverse group to understand the Roman alphabet push a loaded book truck and lift up to 25 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current University of Utah student enrolled 6 undergraduate credit hours or 5 graduate credit hours during the fall and spring semesters
