About Airservices Australia: Airservices Australia is a governmentowned organisation responsible for managing 11 of the worlds airspace. Aviation Rescue Fire Fighters (ARFFs) provide safety services at 27 of Australias busiest airports and are ready to respond 24/7 to aircraft incidents fires and other airport emergencies. With industryleading training and stateoftheart equipment we play a vital role in ensuring the safety of passengers airline crews and airport staff.
The Opportunity
As an Aviation Rescue Fire fighter your responsibilities will range from responding to aircraft emergencies to maintenance of trucks and fire station as well as providing first aid offering fire safety advice and being prepared for any emergency. This role requires strong physical and mental abilities to handle diverse challenges.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Australian/New Zealand Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.
Completed Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (Year 10/12 or equivalent).
Current unrestricted drivers license (with the ability to obtain a heavy rigid license).
Physically and mentally fit (must pass a physical aptitude test and aviation medical assessment).
Ability to work well in a team think quickly under pressure and make sound decisions in critical situations.

The locations currently open are:
Rockhampton Gladstone Whitsunday Coast Hamilton Island Mackay Darwin Port Hedland Karratha Townsville Alice Springs Cairns.
Recruitment Activity will commence in Rockhampton Whitsunday Coast and Western Australia midyear. Recruitment activity for Townsville Cairns and Alice Springs will commence in the last quarter of the year.
