Job Description
The transportation network behind Amazons operations spreads over hundreds of countries reaching millions of customers. Its our Amazon Transportation Services team that ensures products are efficiently transported where they need to be before their final delivery. As a Transportation Specialist youll be working closely with teams across Amazon and external logistics partners to ensure enough delivery vans are available processing new cases and acting quickly on escalations where necessary.
This position involves working in a rotating threeshift system which may include Saturdays night shifts and oncall duty.
Key job responsibilities
Facilitate communication between stakeholders to find root causes and resolve issues quickly
Produce and deliver reports on key delivery metrics
Mentor or coach team members to help them develop new skills
Maintain high standards of work by following policies and procedures
Continually review processes to find areas for innovation
A day in the life
This position is officebased with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazons current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.
As a Transportation Specialist youll be responsible for resolving delivery performance issues that could negatively affect our customers. Youll understand the unique challenges of the transportation team and manage them collaboratively with other crossfunctional teams. Your motivation and commitment to our customers will ensure that our response to delivery issues is timely and efficient. You will be required to make realtime decisions effectively by doing your research weighing up your options and learning as you progress. The result of your work will be the timely delivery of Amazon packages to millions of customers around the world.

Using air sea and road transport as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology youll help Amazons transport run at maximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions. They are key to making Amazon more innovative and efficient.

Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders including your peers and leadership
Relevant experience in analysing data and creating reports for leadership
Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word Excel Outlook) in a professional environment
Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English (C1 Common European Framework of Reference CEFR)
A degree
Experience in a logistical working environment
