The Division of Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a PhD Biostatistician. The Biostatistician will join a nationally recognized research team and data coordinating center in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah. The Biostatistician will collaborate with internal and external investigators in the design and implementation of clinical studies as well as interpretation of results manuscript and presentation preparation and dissemination of findings. In addition to serving in leadership roles on several multicenter research networks and studies the Biostatistician may be asked to assist with study design and data interpretation for investigators within the Department of Pediatrics as needed and as available (although the primary focus of this position will be on the research networks). The Biostatistician will be expected to attend regular meetings related to projectspecific and Center activities. In addition to analytic services there is an expectation for academic productivity including education investigation/scholarly activity and administration/service. Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biostatistics Statistics or a related field and experience as a biostatistician in clinical trials cohort studies and/or research networks. Excellent communication skills with both statistical and nonstatistical audiences is vital. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Research or Tenure Track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
