About the Department of Communication
Students in Drexel Universitys Department of Communication gain broad theoretical knowledge and handson experience as they work toward successful careers in public relations journalism media and countless areas in which communication skills are essential. We offer three distinct concentrations: Public Relations Journalism and Media and Communication preparing our students to be leaders in communication within a digitalized society. Students gain up to 18 months of realword career experience in the coop program. At the graduate level the Department offers a Master of Science in Strategic and Digital Communication. The department also offers a Master of Science in Communication Culture and Media as well as a Doctorate in Communication Culture and Media.
Job Summary
The Adjunct will bring all their academic and professional expertise in the subject matter to the classroom and will employ a variety of strategies to foster student learning and discussions as well as encourage active and experiential learning in all students maintain proper courserelated records and evaluate student work and provide students with feedback as to the progress toward meeting the objectives of the course. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively teaching students in the assigned classroom or online. Responsibilities may include teaching days or evenings with the potential for online only inperson only or a combination of both.
