Position Summary
Designs and delivers instruction in undergraduate Basic Speech Communication and Introductory Speech courses offered by the School; participates in all departmental various schools and University-wide tasks and activities including recruitment and academic advising.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Prepares lessons and delivers instruction for day evening and weekend courses for undergraduates. Regular course load is 4 per Fall and Spring semester. Daily 60% Adheres to the established class schedule and office hours. Submits book requests syllabi grades evaluations and other required paperwork and reports in a timely manner. Daily 20% Remains knowledgeable of current research activities in the discipline by reading journal articles attending conferences and maintaining relationships with fellow scholars and/or researchers in field of expertise. Monthly 5% Participates in curriculum and program development and coordinates curriculum revision with other academic programs. Monthly 5% Participates in course assessment and maintenance of accreditation SACSCOC . Monthly 5% Provides career advisement to students at undergraduate students at undergraduate level as needed. Monthly 5% Participates in departmental school and university meetings and academic activities. Monthly 5% Participates in Professional development activities. As Needed Supervises and evaluates student interns as necessary. As Needed Other duties as assigned by the Chair. As needed
