Job Duties

The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Program Operations Support Specialist in the Program Operations Division.

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

This position provides operational and technical support to the Senior Program Operations Manager Unit by performing research analyzing data and responding to inquiries originating from the FOIA coordinator phone calls Provider and Member Helplines internal and external mail and other internal and external entities.

Inquires may involve questions about routine claims processing issues eligibility and enrollment status and general program information.

In addition this position enters data into the tracking system regarding receipt and disposition of mail and inquiries from systems or tracking systems such as Oracle AvePoint and Maven. Position will require backing up the Fiscal Agent Services (FAS) Contract Monitor position duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:

Knowledge/Experience of specific programs and/or operations.

Knowledge and/or Experience analyzing data auditing problem solving and identify solutions and appropriate actions.

Knowledge/Experience of procedures/processes of the position as it relates to Medicaid or in a health care administration environment.

Knowledge/Experience of program development/planning/implementation.

Knowledge/Experience of in the use of basic software applications such as word processing spreadsheets and database management.

Knowledge/Experience interpretation and application of federal state laws/regulations.

Knowledge and/or Experience in meeting deadlines.

Knowledge and/or Experience working with internal/external stakeholders.
