The Director Commodity Research and Hedging is responsible for leading a team in providing analytical insight into crude oil and natural gas markets. This roles responsibilities include developing econometric models monitoring thirdparty research and formulating strategic recommendations for senior management.
Build and lead a highly technical experienced team capable of developing commodity supply demand and pricing models while leveraging existing thirdparty research.
Thoroughly understand the fundamentals and underlying dynamics of global energy commodities including how macroeconomic and geopolitical events may influence market behavior.
Prepare and present reports and presentations to management and stakeholders to keep them informed of market developments.
Develop and articulate a forwardlooking datadriven perspective across all energy markets and work to align internal corporate stakeholders including senior management.
Identify emerging trends asymmetries and pricing opportunities in commodity markets and translate into actionable hedging strategies to minimize exposure to commodity price volatility.
Understand the impact of market changes and fundamentals on the Company and can translate into actionable business plans.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide deeper insights utilizing marketbased perspectives.
Leverage advanced analytics and data science capabilities to augment commodity research and drive valueadding insight and forecast accuracy.
Display confidence in understanding commodity drivers trends and their impacts at strategic and tactical levels.
Lead and develop employees effectively.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Economics Finance or a related field.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) Executive MBA (EMBA) or Master of Science in Finance Marketing Data Analytics or Economics.
Minimum of five 5 years experience covering energy markets in a research capacity.
An acceptable preemployment background and drug test.
Experienced leader with the ability to build teams.
Deep knowledge of the oil and gas sector.
Credible as a recognized authority in the external community.
Proven ability working at a senior level in a fastmoving rapidly changing environment.
Requires prolonged sitting some bending and stooping.
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
