POSITION OBJECTIVES: To perform a variety of skilled tasks in food preparation cooking and with oversight of food preparation/production in a school DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform a wide range of cooking tasks associated with the preparation of student meals. Ensure that foods are maintained at proper temperatures for storing and preserving. Ensure that established health and safety procedures are followed. Keep abreast of changing requirements. Monitor all foods for quality of taste texture and appearance. Plan following weeks menu requirements and thaw food products accordingly. Verify nutritional values of meals served. Manage the cleaning and organization of all food and supply storage areas. Maintain food service records including all state and USDA mandated records such as productionsheets and standardized recipes. Comply with all state sanitation guideline requirements. Good basic knowledge of inventory control ordering menu planning and quality control methods. Proficient technology skills including online ordering spreadsheets and documents social mediaetiquette and marketing. Perform other duties and responsibilities as AND EXPERIENCE:Culinary degree of a high school diploma or equivalent with training in culinary arts plus one to two years ofrelevant cooking experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparableknowledge and skills are EXPECTATIONS: To perform the job successfully an individual should demonstrate the following: Communication Skills: Listens and gets clarification.
