Director of Forecasting and Reporting

Job Description

MBK Real Estate is hiring a Director of Forecasting and Reporting to join our team at our Home Office in Irvine CA!

This role will be hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for performing division forecasting analysis and reporting for MBK Senior Living (MSL) as well as providing forecasting and reporting support to the corporate finance & accounting team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Hire train set performance goals and timelines monitor performance and provide coaching for Budget Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Forecasting and Analysis

  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annually management and financial reporting package including financial performance analysis and variance analysis.
  • Conduct business performance analysis incorporating trend analysis to assess business implications.
  • Research and analyze business information summarize results and prepare recommendations for decisions presentations /or external communication documents.
  • Coordinate the development of the annual budgeting process.
  • Develop and maintain an active and robust longterm financial model for the company and continually monitor current performance to provide feedback to management.
  • Develop and maintain active and robust shortterm and longterm cash forecast.
  • Support preparation of executive and board reporting.
  • Prepare and contribute to other executive presentations special projects or adhoc financial analyses and reporting as requested by Senior Management.
  • Assist with financial accounting month end and year end close.

Strategic Analysis Support

  • Perform analysis to support evaluation of strategic initiatives and transactions.
  • Analyze and track industry and competitors key financial metrics; report and provide comparisons to the Companys performance.
  • Work with executive leadership to understand strategic direction and analyze changes to business performance against expectations to determine if company is on track to meet objectives.
  • Other related activities that may be required and deemed necessary by the Supervisor.

Education Requirements:

  • BA or BS in Accounting or Finance.

Experience Requirements (in years):

  • Minimum of 710 years of finance experience preferably in a Forecasting and Analysis role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate Industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.

Required Competencies/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Microsoft Suite competency with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with data analysis and presentation tools such as Power BI Power Query Power Pivot or Tableau

Preferred Experience

  • MBA CFA or CPA
  • Yardi
  • Working with a Senior Housing Owner / Operator
  • Working with multiple site real estate portfolio

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job bending kneeling stooping pushing pulling and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Able to move intermittently throughout the workday.

Pay: $185000$20500/annually
