About Assurance and Public Protection
The Assurance and Public Protection directorate ensures democratic accountability of council services. The directorate work together to monitor and ensure compliance and provide assurance of Barnet being an engaged and effective council that protects the public purse. They provide enforcement services that engage and protect residents and businesses to support a safer and healthier borough. About the role
The Service Manager will support the Head of Environmental Health Consumer and Public Protection in the comprehensive and legally robust delivery of Noise Nuisance Scientific Services and Licensing Team.
They will lead the professional enforcement officers within Noise Nuisance Scientific Services and Licensing Team in respect of strategic development; operational development and delivery; some budgetary control and management; adherence to legislation statutory duties and all relevant policies and procedures as well as overseeing the daily work of the teams.
The role will act as the professional lead by managing the section and have full accountability for the Noise Nuisance and Scientific Services as well as the Licensing team and continually improve the service by dealing with members enquiries and complaints
