Job Description

CITY OF STAUNTON

Post Baccalaureate Fellowship in Criminal Justice

City of Staunton Blue Ridge Court Services

Blue Ridge Court Services a public nonprofit agency providing alternative sentencing options for the courts in the Central Shenandoah Valley is accepting applications for a oneyear post baccalaureate fellowship. We are seeking a recent college graduate with a major in psychology sociology social work or criminal justice who is interested in an intensive learning experience to become a part of our member team. This position will also serve as our Reentry Coordinator for the year.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in each of our agencys eight program areas:

  1. Local Probation
  2. Pretrial Services
  3. Home Electronic Monitoring
  4. Domestic Violence Program
  5. Staunton Augusta and Waynesboro Drug Court
  6. Reentry Services
  7. Pretrial Initiative on Mental Illness
  8. StauntonAugusta Therapeutic Docket Program
