SUMMARY: Provides office clerical support to assigned school site including answering phones; checkingin visitors; preparing distributing and filing documents/records; maintaining inventory of supplies; monitoring students; and administering prescribed medication first aid and medical assistance to students.

7. Monitors and supervises students referred to the office for illness or disciplinary action as well as in a variety of other settings including classroom playground field trips library lunchroom bus loading/unloading etc. Implements various levels of discipline in accordance with school district and building policies for the purpose of ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. Models conversations manners active listening organizational skills problem solving strategies and everyday interaction to demonstrate appropriate social behavior in a culturally sensitive manner.

8. Administers prescribed medication first aid and medical assistance to students as instructed by a certified school nurse for the purpose of meeting students health care needs and ensuring student body health.

9. Responds to emergency situations (e.g. injured student fights etc. for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.

10. Participates in training inservices and meetings and learns current and new technologies medical information regulations policies etc. as deemed appropriate.
