Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop critical reading writing and communication skills while fostering a love for literature and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging standardsbased lessons in English Language Arts for grades 912.
- Develop and implement curricula aligned with state standards and school goals.
- Foster critical thinking and analytical skills through discussions projects and assignments.
- Evaluate and assess student progress through various methods including tests essays presentations and participation.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues parents and administrators to support student achievement and school initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and schoolrelated activities.
Applicants must hold a current Arkansas teaching certificate. Any applicant who holds an outofstate teaching certificate must provide documentation showing they have started reciprocity procedures as required by the Arkansas Department of Education.
Salary ranges from a minimum $51000 to a maximum $73311 based on the 2024/25 salary schedule for a 190 day contract. Salary is based on experience. A complete salary schedule can be found on our school website.
