Job Description
The Weston Public Schools Facilities Department is seeking to hire four General Helpers for the summer to assist the school custodians and the school grounds. These are temporary positions Monday Thursday up to 32 hours per week starting as early as May. A flexible schedule between the hours of 6:30 am and 3:00 pm can be arranged. About the Weston Public SchoolsThe Weston Public Schools enrolls approximately 2000 students in prekindergarten through grade 12. The school district includes a high school for grades 912 a middle school for grades 68 an upper elementary school for grades 45 and two lower elementary schools for prekindergarten through grade 3. Since 1967 Weston has participated in METCO (Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity) a voluntary desegregation program that places Boston residents in suburban schools. Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized custodial tasks including general cleaning painting and moving furniture
- Assist the school grounds crew with sting trimming mowing weeding and raking
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships
- Other duties as assigned
- Maturity flexibility and comfort working as part of a team
- Strong work ethic with a track record of meeting deadlines
- Able to understand and follow oral and written instructions
$16.00 per hour
