Job Description Summary
Serves as an Assistant Director of Student Recruitment for the College of Health Professions (CHP) with a focus on external and event recruitment activities. Reports to the Assistant Director of Marketing & Student Recruitment. Responsible for recruiting students for CHPs academic programs via travel to external events such as at regional universities and professional conferences as well as through inperson and virtual presentations to targeted groups. Develops strategic relationships with key external partners including counselors advisors career and continuing education professionals among others. Responsible for the development and of outreach recruitment plans to promote CHPs academic programs to key external groups which may include educational institutions professional organizations medical centers and health systems and the MUSC regional health network. Plans and executes oncampus CHP recruitment events and supports MUSCwide events targeted to prospective students. Manages CHPs Student Ambassador program. Responsible for reporting on KPIs related to all external and event recruitment plans and making recommendations for improvement to ensure college enrollment goals are met. Ensures that recruitment activities are aligned with stakeholder goals and collaborates closely with Division Directors program faculty and other appropriate individuals across the MUSC campus.Entity

External Recruitment Activities
As it aligns with CHPs established recruitment plans the Assistant Director of Student Recruitment (External and Event) travels across the southeast primarily in South Carolina to represent CHP and its programs at external events and to connect directly with prospective students. Travel may include private visits presentations fairs panels lunch and learns or other outreach opportunities at 2 or 4year colleges businesses conferences etc. Maintains a network of professional relationships and regularly communicates with preprofessional advisors undergraduate faculty HR contacts etc. to provide uptodate information on the academic programs offered by the college. Conducts targeted outreach to ensure a strong presence at key industry events. Delivers compelling presentations at external and virtual recruitment events highlighting key program differentiators and outcomes. Tailors content to resonate with the specific audience and context of each event.

Recruitment Outreach
IIn support of recruitment goals and overall plans the Assistant Director of Student Recruitment (External and Event) develops and executes annual outreach recruitment plans to promote CHPs academic programs to key external organizations which may include medical centers and health systems educational institutions professional associations and the MUSC regional health network. With guidance from the Assistant Director of Marketing & Student Recruitment and CHPs Division Directors analyzes interprets and identifies recruitment data and trends to support application and enrollment goals. Develops strategic relationships with key external partners including counselors advisors career and continuing education professionals and managers among others. Fosters engagement with key external organizations and identifies mediums cadence and messaging (including direct phone calls emails text messages inperson visits and more) to best promote CHPs programs effectively. Collects background information (which may include historical program and recruitment data professional associations accrediting bodies etc. in support of these strategic recruitment goals. Analyzes prospective student data trends and keeps current with national and regional trends and best practices in student recruitment.

Oncampus Engagement
Plans and executes CHP recruitment events on campus and supports MUSCwide events targeted to prospective students. Hosts interactive inperson sessions and meetandgreet opportunities with prospective students to build trust and interest while offering insights into program benefits. Responsible for all aspects of recruitment event planning including scheduling setup/breakdown staffing (faculty staff and student ambassadors) registration management email communications (internal and external) and identifying needs for event promotion in coordination with the marketing team and participation in scheduled events. Oversees all aspects of CHPs campus tours including communications with prospective students scheduling ambassadors outcomes tracking and overall organization of tour needs.

Student Ambassador Program Management
Manages CHPs Student Ambassador program. Student Ambassadors support recruitment efforts through recruitment events individual and group tours student panels and other activities as they arise. Oversight of the program includes recruitment selection training scheduling communications and management of student ambassadors throughout the year.

Recruitment Analytics and Reporting
Responsible for documenting tracking and reporting via MUSCs CRM system all actions activities and KPIs related to external and event recruitment plans and initiatives to demonstrate their effectiveness. This includes but is not limited to monitoring external recruitment activities and events inputting travel and expense reports tracking attendance followup communications and sending emails to prospective students. Analyzes data to make informed recommendations for improvements to ensure college enrollment goals are met. Ensures that all external and event recruitment activities are aligned with stakeholder goals and collaborates closely with Division Directors program faculty and other appropriate individuals across the MUSC campus. Annual metrics will be established at the beginning of each fiscal year and will be agreed upon by each program director the Assistant Director of Marketing & Student Recruitment and the Assistant Director of Student Recruitment.

Recruitment Team Support
As a member of CHPs Office of Marketing and Student Recruitment supports the teams initiatives and duties as needed. Provides occasional support to the daily operations of the Student Engagement Office as well as support for student related activities (CHP and MUSC wide) as a member of the Student Affairs team.
Requirements (Education Work Experience Licensure Registry and/or Certification):
A bachelors degree and a minimum of one year of experience in student recruitment or a related field such as sales. Experience should include knowledge of policies procedures and guidelines pertaining to recruitment activities; assembly and analysis of data; ability to interact with prospective and current students and foster relationships with key external partners; ability to exercise good judgment; considerable knowledge of computer software virtual meeting tools like Zoom or Teams and experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system such as Anthology Reach or similar.
Additional Knowledge Skills and Abilities Preferred
Familiarity with the health care industry. A successful candidate will be selfmotivated organized and detailoriented with an ability to multitask while working in a fastpaced environment. A successful candidate will also be compassionate empathetic and have a motivational personality. Understands higher education and prospective students motivations. Ability to communicate well (both written and oral) with a variety of individuals at different levels of professional achievement. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform detailed assignments in a methodical and independent manner with accuracy. Attention to detail is essential. Exceptional communication presentation teamwork and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel up to five days a week during peak recruitment season (September through November and February through April). Typical travel during peak season ranges from 1 to 3 days per week. Ability to work a flexible schedule outside of traditional office hours (after 5 p.m. and weekends) to meet the needs of our prospective students.
