Amazon FinOps GAR Academy is looking for a Learning Experience Designer / curriculum developer to create execute and manage effective training and communication strategy for healthcare finance support teams. The ideal candidate has a passion for learning and helping others. They must be selfdriven with a high degree of ownership and have good business acumen excellent communication skills and planning/program management skills. They must thrive in a fastpaced environment and have a demonstrated capacity to balance speed and quality. The curriculum developer will be responsible for the endtoend delivery of L&D solutions. The curriculum developer will work closely with SMEs channel leads product engineering and other stakeholders to create impactful content training approach and manage communications for launches enhancements and improvements. The role requires an individual who is knowledgeable in adult learning and instructional design strategies for performancebased outcomes who can innovate and move quickly.
Key job responsibilities
Be the voice of the learner ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of our content efforts and help our team iterate and improve on our content offering
Lead projects through the design lifecycle from scoping research and analysis design development and launch; providing clear timelines through all phases communicating with key partners and selecting appropriate measurement for successful implementation
Develop Story Boards for Prototypes/Pilots. Perform Self Reviews and ensure process adherence
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content. Work with subject matter experts to identify target audiences training needs
Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them
Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process. Create supporting material/media (audio video simulations role plays games etc.
Devise modes of assessment such as tests or quizzes to measure the effectiveness of the course
Develops comprehensive measurement strategies for all learning solutions to demonstrate business impact and effectiveness
Communicates effectively in visual oral and written form and deliver engaging presentations to business leaders
Designs learning that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners including the demonstrated understanding of cultural differences that may apply
Understands how to manage and administrate an LMS
Collaborates across the enterprise to develop curriculum that will meet the needs of different businesses
Create learning solutions that address both financial operations and healthcare compliance requirements including HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations
Develop training materials that bridge the gap between financial operations and healthcare processes particularly in areas such as medical billing claims processing and healthcare revenue cycle management
Design content that effectively teaches complex healthcare terminology and procedures to financial operations teams
Create scenariobased learning that incorporates both financial and healthcare use cases
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Instructional Technology Instructional Design or a relevant field
8 years of relevant experience in Instructional Design curriculum development
Ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize manage and complete projects with tight deadlines
Experience conducting a training needs analysis to identify the core problem to be solved in order to achieve desired business results
Experience using data to measure the impact of learning interventions
Experience with online training development software such as Articulate Storyline captivate and multimedia software like Vyond
Full Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Experience in either healthcare training development or willingness to quickly learn healthcare industry requirements
Understanding of healthcare compliance requirements and their impact on training development
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor / Masters Degree preferably in Adult Learning Instructional Design Learning Technology or a related field
Experience developing training for applications & tools
Experience working with crossfunctional teams in a global environment
Experience using Webbased Learning Platforms Social Learning Gamification and with the use of Multimedia
Experience in program management process improvement and/or operations in a Financial Operations and/or Healthcare Customer Service environment
Adept at stakeholder management setting and managing expectations risks & mitigations
Familiar with the Amazon brand and shopping experience
Experience in healthcarerelated training development particularly in areas such as medical billing coding or healthcare administration
Knowledge of healthcare industry standards regulations and best practices
Experience with healthcarespecific learning management systems or training tools
Prior experience in developing training materials for healthcare professionals or healthcare support staff
2 years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
Experience using data to influence business decisions
2 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
