Working in our detail bays is a great way to begin your career at UHaul and allows you to learn on the job and move up to other positions within the Company. We have the largest fleet of trucks and trailers in the industry and we need a firstclass team to keep them looking great for our customers.
While working in our detailing bay you will also be able to continue to grow through our Technician Training Program through classes from Ford GMC and UHaul itself. UHaul will provide you with the tools needed to do your job. You will also learn from many of our longtime team members as UHaul is known for its longtime team members and our family atmosphere.
As a UHaul detailer you will use UHaul Companys proprietary technology to care for field vehicles. UHaul provides the support and tools you will need to succeed and grow so if you want a job with endless opportunities for career growth apply today!
Primary Responsibilities:
Clean and buff trucks and trailers.
Maintain an efficiency of 110 or better.
Handle damaged equipment leaving the fleet by removing decals and preparing equipment for sale.
Use industry standard safety equipment.
Work in a production line where applicable.
Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Drivers license
The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually with or without direct supervision
Regular attendance This is a part time position; shop hours are 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday. Candidates must have availability during those days and times ideally Wednesday through Friday.
Starting Pay:
$18 $22/hr depending on experience.
Work Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions e.g. working around moving parts machines fumes or chemicals as well as loud noises.You will be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks safety shoes goggles gloves or shields.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties required you should be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted. You will also be moving frequently standing sitting and moving beneath/between equipment.
