As we continue to expand our digital presence we are seeking a talented Head of FrontEnd Engineering to lead our team and play a crucial role in building out our Scalable and Component based framework across Asia and Africa. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated FrontEnd engineer to join our engineering team.
Development: You will be responsible for designing developing and delivering frontend applications with proven modern technologies. You will apply the latest development methodology and processes to deliver highquality software.
Quality Assurance: You will apply best practices in code quantity testing and automation to ensure flawless user interfaces as well as robust regression testing and a relentless pursuit of ongoing quality improvements.
Collaboration: You will work in an energetic team in a startup like setting to contribute to the success of our digital initiatives. You should be excellent in communication and documentation skills.
Community of Practice & Inner Sourcing: You will actively participate in our Community of Practice sharing your knowledge learning from others and collaborating to drive innovation and continuous improvement. You will also contribute to our inner sourcing culture where we leverage the opensource model for internal development to improve code reuse collaboration and overall code quality.
Qualifications(Total 10 years of experience)
- 5 years experience in modern frontend web applications.
- 5 years experience in Flutter web and mobile.
- 5 years of experience in mobile app development with a focus on iOS Android and CrossPlatform frameworks.
- Proven expertise in HTML CSS JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong experience in mobile app development.
- Solid understanding and handson experience in Backend development NestJS GraphQL PostgreSQL.
- Deep understanding of responsive web design performance optimization and accessibility standards.
- Experience with unit testing and endtoend testing frameworks like Jest Vitest Playwright and Cypress.
- Strong clear communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in large crossfunctional teams.
- Proven experience in implementing behavioural analytics using tools such as Mixpanel.
- Experience in leading a team or managing a project is a plus.
- Experience in the finance or insurance industry is a plus.
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
Required Skills:
- Frontend: Flutter ReactJs Svelte Sveltekit
- Backend: NestJS GraphQL
- Testing: Flutter Test Jest Vitest Playwright Cypress
- Mobile Development: iOS Android CrossPlatform frameworks.
- Package management for Node and Dart (eg NPM Pub)
- CI/CD: Jenkins GitHub GitLab CI/CD CircleCI or similar for automated deployments.
- Flutter Framework: Flutter SDK Dart programming language Flutter testing frameworks Riverpod Go Router.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Well versed in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Collaboration tools Confluence JIRA Office365.
- Certifications like AWS Certified Developer or Google Certified Mobile Web Specialist are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain highquality web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define design and ship new features.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Continuously discover evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Lead a team of junior developers including code reviews and mentoring.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development process.
