Job Description

Job Summary
This position will be part of the DFPM Faculty Affairs and Providers Relations Team within Central Administration in the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine. Department faculty providers and faculty adjuncts rely on this position to manage all academic matters and governance issues as they relate to the Departments position within the School of Medicine and the University. This position will also be responsible for crosstraining and coordinating with other department employees supporting HR Faculty Affairs and Provider recruiting onboarding and retention. Candidates for this position should have demonstrate strong teamworking abilities good organization skills a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills. They should also have experience managing complex and important processes in a team setting.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions: 1. Leads and assists with recruitment interviews and orientations of faculty providers and staff across the department. 2. Acts as resource person and coordinator for explaining and complying with the University Policies and Procedures. 3. Monitors and coordinates the formal review process for tenuretrack faculty in connection with retention promotion and tenure actions and provides guidance to committees and individuals working with RPT and formal review processes. Serves as support for the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine Department Advisory Committee DAC 2. Monitors and coordinates the formal review process for auxiliarytrack faculty in connection with reappointment and promotion actions and provides guidance to committees and individuals working with formal reappointment processes. Serves as support for the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine Appointments Advisory Committee. 3. Plans and organizes activities surrounding faculty recruitment and onboarding to conform to University Department and EEO guidelines. Works with Search Committee(s) and arranges oncampus interviews/visits. Responsible for planning agendas meetings luncheons hotels and flights and other transportation. Uses the PeopleAdmin online recruiting program to post faculty positions and hire new faculty. 4. Manages/Generates Contracts or Letters of Agreement for joint hires with other University entities. Coordinates the formal process for all new faculty appointments. Serves as support for the Department Level Search process meetings. 5. Receives interprets and processes necessary information related to all faculty personnel actions provides information and guidance and serves as a resource to the Chair/Chief and faculty on matters of Department and University facultyrelated policy. Ensures that faculty personnel actions conform to policy. 6. Coordinates faculty elections as appropriate for faculty service on Department and University committees and councils. Maintains record of faculty participation on such committees. 7. Administers formal processes for faculty resignations retirements requests for sabbatical leaves and emeritus status. 8. Supports provider recruitment hiring credentialing and onboarding for clinician hires across the Department. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Accounting or a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); four years of progressively more responsible related experience; and demonstrated human relation and effective communications skills required. A related Masters degree preferred.
