About the role
Were looking for a Helpdesk Controls Apprentice to join our busy team in Stockport! This role is perfect for anyone eager to develop skills in electrical HVAC control systems with expert training in lowvoltage electrical systems electronic controllers and HVAC equipment.
Youll gain practical experience working with PCbased software touchscreen devices and electrical helpdesk support helping to keep essential HVAC systems running smoothly. If youre a problemsolver who enjoys working with technology and wants to build a rewarding career this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
What you will be doing
Learn to inspect and troubleshoot cables connectors and lowvoltage systems.
Assist in technical support helping to diagnose and resolve warranty issues.
Support in operating and configuring electronic controllers and control systems.
Use computerbased software and touchscreen interfaces (iPad iPhone PC etc..
Support the electrical helpdesk handling inquiries and technical issues.
Work alongside experienced technicians and engineers to develop your skills in control operations.
Follow safety guidelines and company policies while working with electrical components.
Maintain records of technical issues solutions and system updates as part of training.
What were looking for
Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English Maths Science and ICT OR Engineering
Someone who is keen to learn ask questions and wants to be involved and is inquisitive with a hunger for learning
Good written English
An interest in M&E Engineering and the HVAC industry technology electrical systems and troubleshooting
Confident and articulate and a good problem solver as you will need this for handling technical support queries.
Computer literate and know the basics on Microsoft Office and comfortable working with PCbased software and touchscreen devices.
