Job Title: Teacher

Summary
Teachers are responsible for providing direct instruction to students and maintaining an environment conducive to learning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Provide planned instruction with written lesson plans according to the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) individual needs interests and abilities for qualifying students.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and materials consistent with the needs and abilities of the student groups involved.
- Implement and monitor goals on IEP.
- Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents/guardian concerning both the academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students.
- Collaborate with other staff members to meet the holistic needs of assigned students and in planning and implementing the instructional goals objectives and methods.
- Evaluate and write evaluation reports and IEPs for each student upon referral and continuously throughout their program.
- Maintain accurate complete records as required by law District policy and administrative regulations.
- Supervise and coordinate the duties of the paraprofessional assigned to the classroom or students if applicable.
- Other duties as assigned and/or prescribed by Maryville RII School District policies and procedures.
Supervisory Duties
Supervise students at all times.
Qualifications
Education Bachelors Degree.
Certificates Licenses Registrations Valid Missouri teaching certificate.

Write clear and complete lesson plans.

Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Solve a variety of problems in many different situations.
Interpret instructions presented in written oral diagram or schedule form.
Apply knowledge of current educational theory and instructional techniques while presenting subject matter to students.

Identify needs and abilities of individual students and to adapt instructional methods accordingly.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with students peers and parents.
Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Technology
An individual who holds this position must have the ability to:
Perform basic computer functions such as word processing and internet use.
Use district software for recording grades and finding student information.
Utilize smart boards projectors and other instructional technology provided by the district.
