45 Marketing
  • Create a longterm marketing plan for direct to customer emails.
  • Create and schedule direct to customer emails.
  • Create a longterm marketing plan for business to business (retailer) emails.
  • Create and schedule business to business emails.
  • Build email marketing workflows within email marketing platform for customer specific segments.
  • Create a plan for & create lead generating email list opt ins.
  • Create a longterm marketing plan for social media growth (Instagram Facebook Pinterest).
  • Create and schedule social media posts (Instagram Facebook Pinterest).
  • Utilize our affiliate links within our marketing efforts.
  • Create a plan for and write blog posts to add value to our business (including but not limited to gift guides recipes and other related blogs to bring value to our customers and future customers).
45 Outreach
  • Create a plan for new wholesale (retailer) account reach out (sales funnel).
  • Pitch (via email) new wholesale accounts and maintain follow ups.
  • Create a plan for influencer outreach and partnerships.
  • Submit a list of influencers that would be a good fit for our brand along with plans for outreach and partnership details.
  • Submit our products for press gift guides and other press features.
10 Weekly Meeting
  • Meet 12 times for training and assignments.
  • Discuss results of projects and provide feedback.

  1. Currently pursuing a degree at the University of Kansas in Business Marketing Communications Public Relations Journalism Design or a related field.


  • Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to craft engaging emails social media content and press pitches.
  • Basic understanding of marketing concepts including email marketing social media strategy and brand outreach and willingness and excitement to learn more.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram Facebook Pinterest) and an interest in growing an engaged audience.
  • Highly organized and detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Selfmotivated and proactive able to take initiative and bring new ideas to the table.
  • Interest in small business growth and ecommerceexcited to learn about the behindthescenes of a productbased business.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (such as Flodesk Klaviyo Mailchimp or similar) and social media scheduling tools.
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for content creation.
  • Previous experience in marketing social media management blogging or public relations (can include coursework or personal projects).
  • Interest in or awareness of trends in the art and design world particularly in luxe stationery gifting and preppy lifestyle brands.
  • Understanding of influencer marketing and press outreach or a willingness to learn.
  • A creative mindset with an eye for aesthetic branding and compelling storytelling.


Position Overview
As a Marketing & Communications Intern at Liesel Anne Studios youll gain handson experience in crafting engaging email marketing campaigns writing compelling sales and press pitches and developing strategic social media content. Youll also assist with blog post creation influencer relationship planning and other marketing initiatives to help grow our brand and connect with our audience. This role is ideal for a creative and motivated student who is eager to learn the ins and outs of a fully online productbased business and gain realworld experience in digital marketing and brand growth. Through this internship youll have the opportunity to contribute directly to expanding our wholesale reach increasing brand visibility through influencers and press and driving organic traffic with thoughtful strategic content.

This is a parttime position up to 20 hours per week until a minimum of 120 hours is achieved (internship requirement). Due to this being a collaborative position the position will report to both the Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship and Certificate Program at the University of Kansas School of Business and the company partner. The position is contingent upon funding.

Throughout their employment student employees will maintain and manifest positive actions that align with and support the Code of Conduct for the School of Business.

Position Requirements
During the semester term of the appointment the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1 have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2 be preenrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3 be enrolled in summer session or 4 be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).

Employment Conditions
1 Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.

2 This is an hourly/nonexempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/nonexempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
