Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated K12 Curriculum Director to join the Mitchell School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development implementation and evaluation of the K12 curriculum across all subject areas ensuring alignment with state standards and district goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive K12 curriculum that aligns with state standards and district goals
- Lead the development of curriculum maps pacing guides and instructional materials across all subject areas
- Provide professional development to teachers to ensure effective implementation of the curriculum
- Monitor student achievement data and provide recommendations for instructional improvement
- Collaborate with district leaders teachers and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum
- Stay current with educational research and trends to continually improve the curriculum
- Manage and supervise areas of instructional staff
- Prepare and present reports to the district leadership and school board regarding curriculum development and implementation
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and vendors to ensure the availability of quality instructional materials
- The ability to research and write proposals to secure funding from various sources including government agencies foundations and corporations
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in education or a related field
- K12 education experience
- Strong knowledge of state standards and curriculum frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to lead manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with project management and budgeting
- Knowledge of educational technology and digital resources
