We are seeking energetic team members for our YKids Program. YKids is a structured before and after school program that offers a great start and finish to every school day. Staff facilitate education and recreation opportunities fun physical activities healthy snacks and positive reinforcement. With a strong focus on STEM we encourage innovation critical thinking problemsolving skills and creativity in all our kids.
POSITION SUMMARY:
These general functions will be carried out in keeping with the Goals Policies and Mission of the YMCA of the East Bay. The Assistant Site Director works closely with the Site Director to ensure the proper supervision of children and is responsible for planning and implementing a variety of recreational and educational activities which supports the childrens learning and promotes selfesteem in small group settings. This person shares with the Site Director the responsibility for opening and/or closing the site. In the absence of the Site Director the Assistant Site Director supervises other staff (teachers and aides) and is responsible for the smooth operation of the after school program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or GED; AA in early childhood development preferred
Coursework to meet State of California licensing standards
2 years of previous experience working in a professional child care or school aged program
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and other computer programs necessary to perform the duties of the job
CPR First Aid AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date
