Position Summary
The Sr Mgr DS role within CVS Health is on the front line of driving innovation and directly impacting business decisions. This role falls within the Finance Analytics team and will focus on leading an operations team that helps the PBM business meet its client and pharmacy financial guarantees. This team works on ML forecasting and optimization models (linear and mixed integer programming techniques) to optimize druglevel pricing tied to 95 million Americans. The models are designed to meet financial guarantees contracted by Caremark with its clients and pharmacy partners by optimizing drug prices while adhering to several regulatory and business constraints. The outcomes of these models (recommended drug prices) have delivered over $100M in value to Caremark.

Key Responsibilities:

Directs activities of data scientists providing guidance mentorship and performance management to drive excellence in data science projects and deliverables.

Collaborates with business partners to understand their problems and goals develop predictive modeling statistical analysis data reports and performance metrics

Develops and participates in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on analytics results and solutions

Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur

Strong knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources

Required Qualifications

Demonstrates strong ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners

Ability to handle multiple complex projects in a deadlinedrivenenvironment

Advanced degree in quantitative field

Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Minimum 3 years experience leading a team

Adept at and delivery (planning delivering and supporting) skills

Adept at business intelligence (knowledge of Tableau or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

• High levels of selfmotivation and attention to detail
• Experience working in healthcare industry
• Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills
• Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
• Experience with Agile Methodology

• Education

• Master degree or PhD in a quantitative field like Maths Statistics Information Systems Computer Science Data Science etc.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual fulltime salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus commission or shortterm incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the companys equity award program.
