Overview
The Yardi Report Developer plays a crucial role in the organization by utilizing the Yardi system to generate insightful reports that aid in real estate management and investment decisions. This position is responsible for developing maintaining and optimizing reports using Yardi s reporting tools and SQL queries. By effectively translating complex data into comprehensible reports the Yardi Report Developer supports various business units including finance property management and executive leadership. The insights provided through these reports inform strategic initiatives performance evaluations and operational enhancements. Therefore this role is integral to enhancing the companys decisionmaking processes and aligning reporting capabilities with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reports using Yardi report writing functionalities.
- Utilize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify key reporting needs.
- Analyze business requirements and provide solutions through effective reporting.
- Design test and implement complex reports tailored to stakeholders needs.
- Optimize existing reports for improved performance and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data governance and privacy standards.
- Provide training and support for endusers on report generation.
- Perform data validation and quality checks on reports generated.
- Monitor report performance metrics and suggest enhancements.
- Document report specifications and maintain an organized report library.
- Assist in the integration of reporting tools and data sources.
- Stay updated on Yardi software enhancements and best practices.
- Participate in meetings to discuss reporting project updates and timelines.
- Support the finance and management teams with adhoc reporting requests.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as a Report Developer preferably with Yardi software.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniques.
- Indepth knowledge of financial reporting and data analytics.
- Experience with other reporting tools and programming languages is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a teamoriented environment.
- Experience in real estate or property management sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Certifications in relevant areas (e.g. Yardi SQL) are desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach.
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes.
