Job Description
This is a remote position.
- Contract type: Independent Contractor
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM 6:00 PM Washington Missouri time 1hour unpaid break)
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accruals general ledger entries and journal entries.
- Prepare and maintain GAAPcompliant financial statements and reports.
- Work closely with the team to ensure accurate and timely monthend and yearend closing.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of taxes and other regulatory requirements.
- Interact with clients to discuss financial matters answer inquiries and offer support as needed.
- Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and assist with training as necessary.
- Continuously monitor accounting practices and make recommendations for improvements.
- Manage reconciliations of various accounts including bank and credit card accounts.
Requirements
- Extensive experience working with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other accounting software.
- Comfortable following written AP and payroll SOPs
- Strong understanding of accruals financial statements and GAAPcompliant financials.
- Exceptional bookkeeping and accounting skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities.
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 5 years of experience in accounting with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role.
- Experience in clientfacing accounting roles.
