Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Head Chef for a renowned luxury hotel group based in Cape Town. This is an exceptional opportunity for a culinary leader with a passion for fine cuisine creativity and excellence in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food experiences in line with the hotels standards
Oversee all kitchen operations including food preparation presentation hygiene and safety
Develop seasonal and innovative menus that reflect the brand s identity and cater to guest preferences
Ensure quality control and consistency in every dish served
Maintain food cost control and manage kitchen budgets effectively
Source and maintain relationships with quality suppliers
Train mentor and motivate kitchen staff ensuring high performance and team morale
Work closely with the frontofhouse team to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment
Relevant culinary qualification
Strong leadership and communication skills
Creative and passionate about food trends and innovation
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
Strong financial and administrative skills
Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards
