What you will do
The Program Support Specialist provides comprehensive oversight and accountability for the management of projects executed by Johnson Controls. This role is responsible for delivering consistent project communications both internally and externally to ensure all stakeholders are informed and that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. The Program Support Specialist acts as a primary point of contact for clients facilitating the resolution of assigned project and operational challenges while conducting periodic reviews to recommend enhancements and oversee their implementation. Actively engages in project sequencing timeline adjustments and scope document modifications to achieve Project and Program objectives. This position is fulltime and requires onsite presence at the client location in New York City.
How you will do it
This role will be onsite at the client location enabling the Program Support Specialist to actively collaborate with client stakeholders.
Managing projects in alignment with client objectives is paramount. The Specialist will assist in establishing Project standards policies and procedures.
Facilitates effective communication between the client and internal stakeholders regularly engaging with the client to maintain awareness of their perceptions needs challenges and potential business opportunities.
Takes ownership of fostering high levels of customer satisfaction advocating for the client while also providing counsel when program improvements necessitate modifications on the client side. Aims to achieve trusted advisor status with the client.
Monitoring and oversight of projects is a key responsibility including the regular compilation and communication of information related to critical activities resources and timelines.
The Specialist will create pre and postsale tracking reports updating them weekly for all projects.
Collaborates closely with the Strategic Account Manager and actively contributes to regular performance reviews with all key stakeholders. Acts as a liaison between the client Sales Centers of Excellence Field Delivery Teams and Business Partners when reviewing and refining key Program elements. Escalates issues as necessary Initiates program projects and ensures adequate support is in place. Identifies measures tracks and realizes benefits.
Aids in the identification of project risks and provides support and assistance to field delivery teams.
Reports weekly on project status to key stakeholders monitors and controls project performance and implements a projectcontrolled environment (Playbook requirements).
What we look for
Required B.S. in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent industry experience in functional project management within a complex physical security environment.
A minimum of 8 years of physical security experience including regular interaction with general contractors property managers and client stakeholders.
A thorough understanding of both installation and service components of operational performance.
Detailed knowledge of access control technologies is essential.
Excellent leadership skills with at least 3 years of experience managing professionals in a construction setting with a deep understanding of permitting and union complexities.
A selfstarter capable of reviewing processes and instilling continuous improvement methodologies including the establishment and of a formal quality assurance program.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation capabilities. Ability to lead and engage in meetings representing both JCI and the client as required.
Required technical expertise includes certification or exposure to enterprisewide access control and video systems.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to adjust labor efforts to meet fluctuating demands.
