The TriTech PreElectrical instructor will lead and deliver instruction and coordinate the operation of the TriTech PreElectrical Program in accordance with Washington State requirements. The program prepares students to be high performing entry level electrical and construction related employees. The program focuses on electrical theory and blueprint reading trade related math residential and commercial electrical codes and wiring and motor controls. The program develops critical thinking and teamwork skills. There is an expectation to work TriTech summer school if offered approximately 14 days for additional pay.
Qualifications Required:
1. Possess a Washington State Career and Technical Education Teacher Certificate with an endorsement in Electrician (V460302 or Electrical and Electrical Equipment Repair (V470101 or meet qualifications to obtain one. A requirement for certification includes a minimum of 6000 hours of work experience in the electrical trades.
2. Two to four years of recent experience as a versatile journeyman electrician performing all types of electrical work such as layout of construction wiring installation and maintenance of complicated electrical equipment.
3. Experience directing work of others and performing any assigned electrical work of lesser skill.
4. Ability and willingness to develop and promote the TriTech PreElectrical program.
5. Ability and willingness to develop and implement a workbased learning internship program with employers and community.
6. Demonstrated punctuality work attendance record and satisfactory evaluations.
7. Current First Aid/CPR Card.
Qualifications Preferred:
1. Experience in other roles in the electrical career path such as administrator supply chain project management foreman or supervisor.
2. Possess a general journey level electrician (EL01 license.
3. Demonstrated success or training in providing leadership and guidance to the student leadership requirements of the program
4. Evidence of teacher training or experience which reflects interactive studentcentered instruction using technology and realworld applications to enhance teaching and learning.
5. Evidence of experience working with program advisory committee and community partners.
6. Demonstrated success in maintaining a positive productive learning climate in the classroom as well as with parents and colleagues.
7. Evidence of satisfactory experience in curriculum development classroom management and organization for routine detail.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
1. Design and deliver comprehensive instruction in the electrical trades aligning with Washington State CTE curriculum framework in coordination with the other PreElectrical instructor.
2. Work cooperatively to align program competencies and expectations with district approved program standards and state approved frameworks.
3. Equip students with the skills and knowledge to excel as highperforming entrylevel professionals in electrical and related construction fields.
4. Demonstrate and enforce industrystandard safety practices in both lab and job site environments. Implement a comprehensive safety program including regular safety briefings and drills. Hold students accountable for adhering to all safety protocols with clear consequences for noncompliance. Stay updated on OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards incorporating them into the curriculum.
5. Establish and oversee a systematic approach to maintaining clean organized and safe lab facilities and job sites.
6. Coordinate professional attire requirements aligned to industry standards for students and staff.
7. Maintain a positive productive learning climate in the classroom with open communication with parents students staff and administration.
8. Lead the PreElectrical Instructional Assistant in coordination with the other PreElectrical instructor to foster a collaborative team environment delegating responsibilities effectively ensuring the Instructional Assistant is fully engaged in supporting student learning and skill development.
9. Incorporate the worksite learning component into the program. Supervise and support student workbased learning opportunities through job shadows and internships.
10. Foster critical thinking problemsolving and teamwork skills through practical projectbased learning.
11. Cultivate relationships with local industry partners to enhance student opportunities and program relevance.

13. Participate in related CTE Dual Credit articulation agreements.
14. Work with the appropriate advisory committee(s); attend all meetings and implement advisory committee recommendations.
15. Be an advisor and provide opportunities for all students to participate in student leadership activities within the leadership component of the program. Will require hours outside the regular school day.
16. Obtain a HeartSaver CPR/First Aid card and teach HeartSaver CPR/First Aid to the students each year.
17. Motivate and instruct students of all ability levels with emphasis on providing for their individual learning styles.
18. Maintain a positive productive learning climate in the classroom as well as with parents and colleagues.

28. Follow the TriTech Skills Center calendar including first and last days of school all holidays and breaks Professional Days conference dates half days early releases late starts weather delays and cancellations professional days etc.
29. Use/learn computer technology i.e. Word Excel and PowerPoint electronic grading and attendance communication by email and ability to implement computer skills into daily classroom instruction.
30. Implement the requirements of IDEA Section 504 and ADA in the education of students with disabilities.
31. Other duties as assigned.
