We are seeking an inspiring strategic leader to take on the role of Head of Education Strategy and Transformation. This is a pivotal post at the heart of shaping and delivering our ambitious vision for education across Leicestershire. You will play a key role in driving educational excellence reducing inequalities and creating a sense of belonging for all children and young people so that they can live their best life and as far as possible become the author of their own life story.

About the Role

  • To lead the Councils education strategy and transformation in response to national and local policy developments and initiatives.
  • Drive transformation across education services championing innovation belonging and systemwide improvement
  • Collaborate with schools settings and wider stakeholders to raise attainment and improve outcome particularly for children and young people with additional needs
  • Oversee major projects funding bids and policy developments to support strategic goals
  • Provide expert advice to senior leaders and elected members acting as a trusted source of insight and challenge
  • Building strong partnerships across education health social care and communities
