Job Title: Nursing Director for Surgical Services
Location: Southern California
Job Description:
Our prestigious hospital in Southern California is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Director for Surgical Services to join our dynamic healthcare team. As the Nursing Director you will provide strategic leadership direction and oversight to our Surgical Services department ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and promoting a positive working environment for our nursing staff.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the Surgical Services department in alignment with the hospitals mission and goals.
Manage the daytoday operations of the Surgical Services department including staffing resource allocation and budgeting.
Foster a culture of excellence in patient care safety and customer service within the Surgical Services department.
Collaborate with physicians surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care and effective patient outcomes.
Develop and enforce policies procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of practice.
Recruit train mentor and evaluate nursing staff to enhance their skills and promote professional growth.
Foster a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to patient care by promoting effective communication and teamwork among healthcare providers.
Monitor and evaluate performance metrics identify areas for improvement and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Stay current with advances in surgical techniques technology and industry best practices and ensure their integration into the Surgical Services department.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Surgical Services or related areas.
Demonstrated knowledge of surgical nursing practices patient care standards and regulatory requirements.
Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in managing and motivating a diverse nursing staff.
Excellent communication interpersonal and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
Familiarity with budgeting resource allocation and performance management.
Proactive mindset and the ability to adapt to a fastpaced and evolving healthcare environment.
