HSS is seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee all aspects of restaurant operations for our client in the Jefferson Area.
The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for managing inventory hiring and training staff maintaining prompt service times and ensuring high sanitation standards. This role focuses on operational efficiency guest satisfaction employee development and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inventory to ensure all necessary ingredients are stocked for service.
Hire new staff and provide training for quick acclimation.
Streamline kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times.
Work with the Head Chef to develop and maintain the restaurant menu.
Set and enforce regular cleaning standards for the kitchen ensuring sanitation levels are maintained.
Create and manage schedules for all kitchen staff.
Track kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste and optimize cost control.
Handle financial tasks including cashouts deposits P&L statements and budgeting.
Oversee hiring training and retention of top talent to build a strong team.
Maintain a strong presence in the local community to enhance the restaurants reputation.
Provide excellent customer service and address guest feedback promptly.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while upholding quality standards.
Qualifications:
Proven restaurant management experience in a highvolume environment.
Strong knowledge of financial management P&L and cost controls.
Serve Safe Certification and ability to obtain a Liquor License.
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced highstress environment.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Flexible schedule with availability to work 50 hours per week.
Ability to train coach develop and motivate staff effectively.
Guestfocused approach to floor management and building guest rapport.
