Basic Function:
The Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship at Kent State University invites applications for a Faculty Nontenure track (NTT) lecturer or assistant professor position in the instructional track beginning August 14 2025. This is a continuous renewable position with a primary emphasis on teaching. The faculty member in this position is expected to maintain currency in the field through scholarship professional development or other qualifying professional activities.

Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include but not be limited to the following:
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate level courses based on departmental needs with a primary focus on entrepreneurship (e.g. Introduction to Entrepreneurship Entrepreneurial Finance Entrepreneurial Tools and New Venture Creation) and management (e.g. Exploring Business). The candidate may be required to deliver courses inperson or online.
Additional Examples of Duties if applicable:
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters in management (with a concentration in entrepreneurship strategic management international business human resource management or organizational behavior) or a related field. For candidates with a masters degree an appointment is at the rank of NTT Lecturer.
Preference will be given to candidates with entrepreneurial experience.
Preferred Qualifications if applicable:
Doctoral degree in management (with a concentration in entrepreneurship strategic management international business human resource management or organizational behavior) or a related field.
For candidates with a doctoral degree an appointment is at the rank of NTT Assistant Professor.
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in teaching entrepreneurship and management courses.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light workExerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
