Contract: 1 permanent position 37 hours per week

Would you like to be part of a passionate team within Childrens Services Transition and Leaving Care

If the answer is yes join us as we seek a dedicated individual to join our team. The role of the PA is a unique one it has its challenges but is extremely rewarding.

About the role:

The role of PA is to support young people leaving care as they transition into adulthood. You will provide advice and guidance ensuring that they are aware of their rights and entitlements as a care leaver. This is a crucial time for our young people and it is essential you work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure their needs are met.

Our priorities are to help our young people access opportunities for education and employment & safe secure accommodation; you will play a leading role in making sure they get high quality support from us as corporate parents.

You will:

  • Focus on the young persons aspirations needs and wellbeing to establish both a plan and a network of support.
  • Passionately respect and honour their identity; believe in and listen to them inform and support them and overall be a Champion for them.
  • As part of the Governments Rough Sleeper Initiative also work with young care leavers who are at risk of rough sleeping identifying accommodation pathways and provide the care they need to prevent this happening.

A BPSS check involves four main elements; Identity Check National and Immigration Status Employment History (last 3 years) and Verification of Criminal Record (unspent convictions only).
