ARSIEM Corporation is seeking a motivated and detailoriented Junior Information Assurance (IA) Specialist to support U.S. Navy cybersecurity initiatives. This position is ideal for earlycareer professionals eager to gain experience in Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity compliance. The selected candidate will assist senior IA personnel in maintaining secure systems ensuring compliance with DoD regulations and supporting the Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) process.
This is a remote position with limited travel for compliance assessments and team collaboration.
Responsibilities
RMF & Authorization Support
Assist in navigating systems through the RMF process (Steps 16 under the supervision of senior staff.
Support the preparation and maintenance of ATO packages within eMASS.
Collect and organize security artifacts to assist in ATO renewals and continuous monitoring.
Help maintain and track POA&M items identifying and documenting remediation steps.
Security Compliance & Assessment
Assist in conducting security control assessments using NIST 80053 and DoD RMF standards.
Support vulnerability management efforts including scanning documentation and reporting.
Help maintain security tools and technologies (e.g. ACAS HBSS SIEM platforms).
Documentation & Reporting
Assist in developing and maintaining security documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs) Risk Assessments and Security Assessment Reports.
Prepare and contribute to compliance briefings and reports for IA teams and program stakeholders.
Maintain organized records of security events incidents and compliance status in shared repositories.
Cybersecurity Operations Support
Provide administrative support for Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes.
Participate in Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) initiatives under guidance.
Assist in incident response drills tabletop exercises and lessonslearned documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
02 years of experience in cybersecurity or related field. Internship or military experience accepted.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Cybersecurity Computer Science or related discipline OR equivalent military training.
Familiarity with DoD RMF NIST 80053 and cybersecurity principles.
Strong attention to detail willingness to learn and ability to follow structured processes.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
CompTIA Security (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification).
Experience with eMASS or similar GRC tools.
Exposure to cybersecurity tools such as ACAS Splunk HBSS or similar.
Knowledge of Navy or DoD IT environments.
$77000 $94000 a year
The ARSIEM pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other laws.
