Position Summary


Support actuarial functions by applying quantitative skills and analytical methods to well defined projects. Set own priorities within preestablished overall deadlines. Use strong technical skills in a functional manner and demonstrate fundamental business and product knowledge. Act with some direction from supervisor.

Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements

  • Take ownership of assigned projects and/or models/tools.
  • Raise issues and propose suggestions as appropriate.
  • Provide input into decision making process.
  • With direction from supervisor develop assumptions and input into models.
  • Demonstrate basic understanding and working knowledge of internal data sources.
  • Provide technical support for planning forecasting and reporting process. Pricing Trend & Benefit Design Support pricing and trend analysis function.
  • Develop creative technical solutions to a variety of problems.
  • Demonstrate spreadsheeting proficiency and familiarity with database and webbased applications.
  • Support development and implementation of appropriate tools and models.
  • Support maintenance and development of enhancements to processes tools and make suggestions to maximize efficiency.
  • Participate in development and finalization of business requirements and/or specifications for processes tools and systems.
  • Participate in testing of changes to processes tools and systems.
  • Participate in multifunctional workgroups.
  • Respond to routine inquiries from internal constituents in a clear and professional manner.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of tools and processes.
  • Interaction with Constituents Under supervisor direction collaborate with internal constituents.

Required Qualifications

  • 6 months experience working in Microsoft Excel.
  • 6 months experience SQL and SAS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 Actuarial exams passed.
  • 6 months of Actuarial experience.
  • VBA experience.


Education and Certification Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Bachelors degree with concentration typically in Actuarial Science Mathematics Finance Statistics Economics or related field preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$61800.00 $135960.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual fulltime salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus commission or shortterm incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
