Discover Impactful Work:

The Manager Project Management will be responsible for leading all aspects of and coordinating Companion Diagnostic (CDx) projects within the laboratory. This role involves leading all aspects of project planning and delivery to ensure that clinical trials are completed on time within scope and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills experience in clinical trials and the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.

A day in the Life:

Responsibilities

Project Planning and :

  • Develop detailed project plans including timelines achievements and prioritisation.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff researchers and external collaborators to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and met.
  • Manage project budgets track expenditures and ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Collaborator Communication and Coordination:
  • Act as the main contact for project collaborators offering frequent updates on project status risks and issues.
  • Facilitate meetings and communications between internal teams sponsors and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained and accessible.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations from the plan.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all clinical trial testing procedures align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Coordinate quality control processes and ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and coordinate project teams ensuring that all members understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior project managers and other team members.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate project outcomes and processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement standard methodologies and innovative solutions to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.

Keys to Success:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. Life Sciences Project Management Business Administration) or equivalent experience. Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience preferably in a clinical trial or CLIA laboratory setting.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects from initiation to completion.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project Asana Trello).
  • Proficient in computer programs (e.g. MS Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines related to clinical trials (e.g. GCP FDA ICH).

Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Working hours are normally 9am 6pm. The role may involve working extended hours to meet project deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103100.00$154700.00.
