The Opportunity:

Cougar Health Services (CHS) strives to create an inclusive environment where all Cougs feel cared for and welcomed. We provide these services in ways that are studentcentered culturally informed integrated and accessible. The Harm Reduction Services Coordinator supports the provision of harm reduction services through WSU systemwide prevention efforts and Cougs for Recovery which is inline with the CHS mission. CHS also strives to support students in all ways to allow students to reach their academic goals. This important role & position creates increased direct referrals into CHS services and focus on student substance use and harm reduction for collaboration between HRRS staff and CAPS/ Medical Clinic providers. The work of the HRRS coordinator and recovery coaches creates a nonjudgmental safe space for students to access harm reduction services that potentially are lifesaving and life altering.

Summary of Duties:

The Harm Reduction & Recovery Services Coordinator will provide daytoday administration program planning & implementation supervision of the studentstaff peer recovery coach (RC) team for the Cougs for Recovery (CfR) Service within Cougar Health Services CHS. These duties also include acting as the primary point of contact with campus stakeholders program report writing conducting attendance/dashboard management and evaluation tasks and coordinator for activities between multiple Pullman campus departments. The Harm Reduction and Recovery Services Coordinator will work under the supervision of theWSUHarm Reduction and Recovery Services Manager. The ideal candidate has knowledge of public health or a related field in community engagement the ability to synthesize diverse perspectives into innovative solutions passion for the wellbeing of students in recovery from problematic substance use and other mental health concerns experience in the development of student & community engagement through combined public health and artsbased activities basic evaluation skills strong interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to equity in practice.

This is a fulltime 100 FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary:

$4058 $4334 Commensurate with experience and qualifications

In accordance with
RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.
