You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division of Public HealthSeattle & King County seeks to fill the Finance & Administrative Services Manager (Administration Section Supervisor) position. The division is looking for an experienced and strategic leader who is committed to equity principles and excels at inspiring supporting and managing people in a complex work environment. This senior level position reports directly to the EMS Division Director provides administrative subject matter expertise to Section Supervisors and is a key participant in EMS Leadership Team deliberations and strategic decisionmaking.
The EMS Divisionprovides core regional services essential to delivering the highest quality outofhospital emergency care across King County. The EMS Division partners directly with 23 first responding EMS agencies in King County staffed by over 4500 EMTs and paramedics resulting in more than 255000 EMS patient care responses annually. Additional key partners include the four major dispatch centers staffed by over 200 telecommunicators 11 mobile integrated healthcare (MIH) programs that connect patients to specialized community services law enforcement and social worker coresponders nurseline staff regional hospitals private ambulance companies and community organizations to ensure a seamless provision of prehospital services to more than 2.3 million residents in King County.
Grounded in foundational principles of regional collaboration a tiered medical model an equitydriven focus innovative practices operational efficiency and the fiscal integrity of a voterapproved levy core regional services are organized across diverse EMS Division lines of business including the Administration Section and is funded through the $1.15 billion 6year Medic One/ EMS Levy.
The primary role of the Administration Section Supervisor is to provide strategic direction oversight and guidance to EMS Division leadership and partners related to a wide range of administrative duties necessary to support EMS Division daytoday operations. Duties include the direct supervision of the administrative and financial staff that ensure administrative tasks are carried out according to established EMS Division Public Health and King County policies and practices. The work exists within a dynamic and politically complex regional EMS system and Public Health environment and relies on fostering collaborative and respectful relationships with an array of internal and external partners and a commitment to an employee culture that values equity inclusion and belonging. Responsibilities also include the establishment of strong reliable and trusted relationships with Public Health (PH) and King County (KC) administrative sectors such as Human Resources (PH/HR and HRD) Contracts Procurement and Real Estate Services (CPRES) PH Finance & Budget Facilities Management Division (FMD) and KC Information Technology (KCIT) to ensure smooth operations within the EMS Division and with our EMS partners in the region.

Typical work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (with flexibility). This position is not subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not overtime eligible.
Work Location
This position works a hybrid schedule with two days in office per week and the remainder telecommuting. The base for this position is the Chinook Building located at 401 5th Ave Seattle WA 98104.
Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Teleworking:
Some of the work associated with this position will be performed through teleworking and will report to office location and to meetings as needed. Travel to other work locations may be necessary. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. To support employees during this time King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely.
